Torghar Conservation Area

Torghar Conservation Area is one of Pakistan's most recognized community-based wildlife conservation areas and is particularly well known for the conservation of Sulaiman Markhor and Afghan Urial.

Located in the northern mountains of Balochistan, Torghar provides a unique mountain hunting environment characterized by steep rocky slopes, dry valleys, rugged ridges and remote wilderness.

Takatu Range

Important: Availability of regulated trophy hunting varies by hunting area, season, quota and the permits issued by the relevant wildlife authorities. Rugged Ridge Expedition arranges hunts only in areas where the required hunting authorization and permits are available.

After a successful hunt, the trophy will be professionally field prepared.

The skin will be properly salted and prepared, while the skull and horns will be handled according to the applicable export and wildlife requirements.

International shipping, CITES requirements, quarantine and destination charges are handled according to the regulations applicable to the destination country.

Because this is a mountain hunt in rugged terrain, appropriate footwear, layered clothing, rain and wind protection, binoculars and suitable personal equipment are important.

The altitude varies according to the hunting area.

Although Sulaiman Markhor hunts are generally conducted in lower and drier mountain environments than our high-altitude Himalayan and Karakoram hunts, hunters should still be prepared for steep terrain and physically demanding climbs.

International airfare is not included in the hunting package.

Domestic flights, where required, are subject to availability and weather conditions. We recommend booking changeable or flexible international tickets whenever possible because weather or operational conditions can affect domestic travel within Pakistan.

International and domestic airfare where applicable, hotels before and after the hunt unless specified, medical and evacuation insurance, rifle rental and ammunition where applicable, alcohol, taxidermy, international trophy shipping, destination charges and gratuities are not included unless specifically stated in the hunting package.

Deposits and hunt balances are subject to the terms and conditions stated in the hunting agreement.

Travel insurance and cancellation insurance are recommended to protect against unforeseen circumstances.
